Reflection
Much of this competence is an area I have experienced considerable growth especially as it relates to interacting with the external public and the news media. The Deer River High School remodel project allowed me to gain considerable experience interacting with community members and stakeholder groups including members of the Chamber of Commerce and City Council. These interactions allowed me to put forth a positive image of the district while also gathering feedback, and monitoring community perceptions and issues. The value of these interactions can not be understated and I recognize the benefit of creating opportunities to interact with the community.
