Reflection
This area is a dichotomy for me in terms of experience and understanding. I have considerable experience leading staff development in my role as an instructional technology coach. I have also been involved with the teachers union, interview committees and hiring decisions, the selection and development of our district's evaluation model, and our new teacher induction program so I have experience through a teacher's lens in these areas. I have considerably less experience regard managerial responsibilities , legal requirements for personnel, and the administration of contracts. I was fortunate to grow in this area during my practicum as I participated in contract negotiations, interview committees, and lead the committee reviewing and revising parts of the teacher contract relating to activities. This area will continue to be an area of growth especially around legal requirements.
